In October 2018, a team of missionaries provided assistance to the citizens of northern Uganda. The 10- day journey was focused on providing supportive services to women in the Soroti (Life Renewal Church) and Lira (Faith Mission), Uganda areas. The team provided a microfinance class and gave loans to over 30 women. The women took small loans to start businesses in the local area and repaid the loans to a local council that would make new loans. The Women’s team members led a two-day Women’s Conference in Soroti (over 200 women attended) and a one-day conference in Lira (100 women attended). The Men’s team members had smaller informal meeting with groups of 20 men in Soroti and Lira to encourage their growth and development. The team gave educational scholarships to children in Soroti and Entebbe, Uganda areas. The team baptized about 50 new members of Life Renewal Church at a local swimming pool. The team also gave 10 cows to deserving members of the Lira, Uganda community to aid economic development. Distributed personal support item (toiletries, soap hygiene items, etc.) to the Men and Women Prisoners in Soroti District Prison facilities. A team preached and taught about 30 women inmates. Another team provided training and preaching to over 500 men. On that day over 100 person accepted Christ. The team visited the Governor of Soroti District. The team held a revival and gave bags of food to over 100 families. The team baptized over 100 new members of the Life Renewal Church in a local swimming pool. The team examined operability of four water wells we previously dug in the region providing clean drinking water to over 12,000 people.
